Getting Started: One Account for Everything
There is no special registration page just for the Southwark club. You open a single account on the main Grosvenor Casinos site, and that login is what you use online, at Southwark, and at any of the other 51 venues across Great Britain. It keeps things simple - no stack of different cards in your wallet, no separate usernames for each place.
Registration itself is pretty quick. Go to grosvenorcasinos.com and find the yellow “Join” or “Join Now” button tucked in the top-right corner of the homepage. On a mobile browser it shows in roughly the same top area, so you do not have to hunt for it.
Once you press that button, you move through a short sequence of screens:
- Type in your email address and choose a username and password.
- Add your personal details - full name, date of birth, home address, phone number.
- Confirm that you are at least 18 and that you live in the UK.
- Read through and accept the Terms and Conditions plus the Privacy Policy.
- Create a PIN code. You will use this PIN to log in online and to access your membership in physical venues, including Southwark.
- If you want to, set your deposit limits here - daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Submit the form, then click the confirmation link that arrives in your email.
It helps to have your email inbox open in another tab before you start. The confirmation message can slip into spam or junk, and until you click that link the new account sits in a sort of half-finished state that will not let you get properly started.
Identity Verification - What You Will Need
After you register, Grosvenor will ask you to confirm who you are before any real-money play or deposits. This is not a quirk of the Southwark venue, it comes from UK Gambling Commission rules. The process is usually referred to as KYC - Know Your Customer - and every licensed UK operator has to follow it.
To get through verification you need two documents:
- A valid photo ID - either your passport or a UK driving licence.
- A recent proof of address, for example a utility bill or a bank statement issued within the last three months.
You upload both files from your account dashboard once you are registered. In most cases the checks are wrapped up within 24 hours, though it can be quicker when the images are clear and easy to read. Until the verification is marked complete, you will see restrictions on both deposits and withdrawals.
Grosvenor operates under UKGC licence number 38750, which is issued to The Rank Group Plc. That single licence covers the online platform and all of the land-based clubs in the network, including Grosvenor Casino Southwark.
| Document Type | Accepted Examples |
|---|---|
| Photo ID | Passport, UK driving licence |
| Proof of address | Utility bill, bank statement (last 3 months) |
| Typical verification time | Within 24 hours |
One small but useful habit, for this and any other account: keep decent scans or photos of your main documents saved in a secure folder. Scrambling to take a legible picture of your passport on a dimly lit evening right when a form asks for it is more hassle than you think.
Linking to Southwark - Simpler Than It Sounds
Once your online profile is active and verified, it automatically sits inside the wider Grosvenor membership system. There is no extra button to press to “add” Southwark or any separate application just for that venue. When you go to the club, you simply present your membership card or tap in the PIN from registration on the venue terminals.
If you already picked up a physical Grosvenor membership card from a previous visit to a land-based club, you can type that card number in during the online sign-up. That way, your previous in-venue play is linked straight to the new online account - loyalty rewards, points balance, and PIN all line up under one profile.
Because everything runs on the same membership backbone, certain offers that you unlock online can be usable in-club, and some in-venue promotions may count towards online play, depending on how the terms are written at the time. Not every offer crosses both ways though, so it still pays to glance at the conditions for the specific promotion you care about.
